← Install Luastra

Make the command available

0.5.0-alpha release boundary
add ~/.luastra/bin to PATH

The installer deliberately leaves shell configuration unchanged. Add its bin directory when a new terminal cannot find the luastra command.

When to use it

Use this only when installation succeeds but the shell reports command not found or does not recognize luastra.

  • For a permanent Windows setting, add %USERPROFILE%\.luastra\bin to your user PATH, then open a new terminal.
  • A successful version command prints JSON whose result is PASS and whose version is 0.5.0-alpha.
  • A successful doctor command prints JSON with result PASS. Do not continue if doctor reports a checksum, receipt, host, or installed-file mismatch.

source ~/.bashrc

# PowerShell, current window
$env:Path = "$HOME\.luastra\bin;$env:Path"
