Project manifest

Declares entry, dependencies, capabilities, assets, tests, web metadata, and backend.

luastra.json is strict JSON: double quotes, no comments or trailing commas. Unknown properties are rejected. Paths are relative to this manifest, not the terminal working directory.

Required: schemaVersion, project, sdk, capabilities, modules. Optional: assets, tests, web, backend, startup. Omit unused optional objects rather than supplying null.

schemaVersion must be 2 and sdk.contract must be 1. These are contract numbers, not the Luastra release version or a dependency version range.

Run luastra check after changes, then luastra test and luastra build web. check analyzes declarations and modules; the web build executes and validates startup rendering. Referenced source and asset files must exist.
