Luastra 0.5.0-alpha public-source alpha

Start here: build apps like games

Write strict Luau that returns semantic UI from explicit state. Luastra checks and compiles the project, then its current web-based hosts render the same application model on web, desktop, and mobile.

The mental model is state → app.render → semantic UI. A button or host event enters app.handle, asynchronous capability work completes in app.resolve, and Luastra renders the new state.

New here? Follow Installation, Quick start, and Beginner tutorial in that order. Use API pages after the first app runs, and read Support and boundaries before choosing a production target.

The public installer selects the immutable 0.5.0-alpha SDK. The older 0.1.0-alpha release remains available as a separate rollback boundary.

Desktop and mobile host sources package the web artifact through Tauri and Capacitor; the installed CLI currently exposes application-facing bundle and web builds only.

Host-neutral means application state and semantic nodes stay in Luau. It does not mean every visual is a platform-native widget or that every host capability behaves identically.
