6. Understand the arbitration

luastra/navigation · luastra/host · navigation.history · about 20 minutes
modal → history → exit

Navigation.decideBack defines priority; the application performs one matching host response for each fresh intent.

When to use it

Read this before adding a modal or another local navigation layer.

  • Dismiss application-owned modal state and acknowledge handled.
  • Delegate to host history when a previous route exists.
  • Request exit only at the application root where the platform supports it.
  • Ignore malformed or repeated intent values; never respond twice to one intent.
