9. Verify presentation claims separately

luastra/ui · semantic spatial navigation · about 25 minutes
semantic test ≠ browser/device evidence

Passing Luau tests proves the model and event transitions, but visual and platform claims need host-specific checks.

When to use it

Read this before publishing an Orbit application or promising accessibility and performance across targets.

  • Check desktop, tablet, phone, and short-landscape sizes; width alone does not determine usable spatial layout.
  • Verify keyboard entry, directional movement, Escape dismissal, focus restoration, and complete list-mode parity.
  • Test orbitMotion = system with operating-system reduced motion and orbitMotion = off without delayed state changes.
  • Check every selected theme for normal text, status, controls, retained layers, and Focus Surface contrast.
  • Measure idle work and transition responsiveness with diagnostics; visual smoothness is not a substitute for a budget.
