6. Read the Orbit anatomy

luastra/ui · semantic spatial navigation · about 25 minutes
Orbit → Path + Constellation(s) + Focus Surface

Each primitive owns one semantic responsibility and enforces a bounded structure.

When to use it

Read this before adding nodes or another navigation depth.

  • UI.Orbit is the presentation boundary and accepts path, search, constellation, and Focus Surface children.
  • UI.Constellation represents one depth and requires exactly one center plus 1 to 64 actionable nodes or clusters.
  • UI.OrbitCenter names the current space; it is identity, not a button.
  • UI.OrbitNode declares a leaf, constellation destination, or action. UI.OrbitCluster represents a real grouped destination.
  • UI.FocusSurface contains full leaf detail while the originating constellation remains the navigation context.
